FFB-Group: A success story since 1931
1931 – Jowa By setting up Jonatal AG in Wald, Duttweiler laid the foundations for the company now known today as JOWA. The former chocolate producer became the leading Swiss bakery and one of the country’s major food producers.
1945 – Bischofszell Nahrungsmittel AG (Bina) The acquisition of the Tobler & Co. canning plant in Bischofszell led to the creation of Bischofszell Nahrungsmittel AG (Bina), which specialises in convenience, potato and fruit products and has become a major player in the Swiss food market.
1958 – Aproz Sources Minérales With the partial takeover of Aproz Sources Minérales, the Group added mineral water to its portfolio. Today, Aproz fills over 80,000 bottles per hour and produces approximately 200 million litres of mineral water each year.
2016 – Sushi Mania Sushi Mania AG in Vuadens in the canton of Fribourg was added to the Group as a specialist in Japanese and Asian cuisine and has since expanded the range in the Asian convenience product segment.
2023 – Creation of the FFB-Group The merger of sister companies JOWA AG and Bischofszell Nahrungsmittel AG created the Fresh Food & Beverage Group AG (FFB Group AG) as a legal entity. Together with Sushi Mania, Bäckerei Hug and Aproz Sources Minérales AG, they make up the Fresh Food & Beverage Group and are shaping the future of Swiss food production.
