Ariba Sourcing
Tenders with Ariba Sourcing
Migros Industry uses Ariba Sourcing as a platform for conducting tenders. Our goal is to ensure a fair and transparent awarding process. Depending on the requirements, different event types are used, either individually or in combination.
RFI – Request for Information
An RFI (Request for Information) is used to ask suppliers to provide general information about their company, products, or services. The goal is to make an initial assessment of potential suppliers.
RFP – Request for Proposal
An RFP (Request for Proposal) invites suppliers to submit concrete proposals for specific requirements. This process can take place over multiple rounds to determine the best terms and solutions.
Auction
In an auction, suppliers submit their bids in real time to win the contract. This enables a transparent and competitive process.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I authorize another person in my company to participate in the tender?
You can manage users directly in your Ariba account: create, edit, delete users, and assign roles.
I cannot log in to Ariba via the invitation email.
First, delete all cookies in your browser. Then, instead of using the direct link from the email, use the following link: supplier.ariba.com to log in.
You will find the event under “Ariba Proposals and Questionnaires” according to the Step-by-Step instructions .
I have logged in, but the event is not visible.
Check which ANID you are logged in with:

Ask the sender of the event which ANID was invited.
Correct ANID:
If the ANID matches, you do not have the correct permissions in Ariba. In this case, your administrator must assign you the appropriate roles.
Incorrect ANID:
If you see a different ANID, your company may have multiple accounts.
Step 1: Inform us so that we can unlink the incorrect ANID and link the correct one.
Step 2: Create a ticket with SAP Ariba to merge the accounts.
