Bread and bakery products

Migros Industrie bakes at over 100 sites – thereby guaranteeing fresh products all day long. High-quality, natural ingredients and expert, experienced bakery craftsmanship are the forces behind this delightful range. The varied product range is supplemented by custom logistics solutions and marketing concepts.

Convenience

Convenience products – immediate consumption, ready to eat or ready to cook – have become absolutely essential. These are produced in line with strict hygiene standards and using only top-quality raw ingredients. The product range of the Fresh Food & Beverage Group accompanies consumers through versatile everyday life: Bircher muesli for breakfast, ready-to-eat salads and soups for lunch and a simple ready meal such as Anna’ Best for dinner.

Eggs

All Migros Industrie eggs come from Lüchinger + Schmid AG. The leading Swiss production company for eggs and egg products is part of the Micarna Group and processes over 500 millions eggs per year. The eggs are exclusively from free-range and organic farming. The wide range includes fresh eggs as well as pasteurised egg products (whole egg, egg yolk, egg white) as well as egg convenience products for gastronomy.

Fish

In their seafood range, the Micarna Group offers a wide range of top-quality fish and seafood. As a member of the WWF Seafood Group, it is committed to raw materials from conservation fisheries and sustainable aquaculture, as well as to expanding MSC items. The Micarna Group therefore strives to support and continuously increase sustainability through conservation fisheries and environmentally friendly breeding. The Micarna Group underscores its aspirations with its own aquaculture for whitefish in Birsfelden (BL). From the parent animals to the insemination, rearing, fattening and processing, Micarna controls all stages of the value-added chain and has set a beacon in terms of sustainability and innovation with the aquaculture facility in Birsfelden.

Meat/poultry

In Switzerland, over two million consumers enjoy the meat or poultry products of the Micarna Group every day. They are able to rely on its high quality standards. The Micarna Group is always committed to animal welfare in farming and low-stress animal transportation. Around 80% of all Micarna products come from Swiss farms. Seven out of every ten animals are what are known as label animals. This means that they are kept under even stricter animal welfare standards than those prescribed by Swiss laws, despite the fact that Switzerland already has very strict animal and environmental protection laws in comparison to many other countries.

Meat-replacement products

Migros Industrie produces many of the popular vegetarian and vegan V-Love products in the Migros range and has been involved in the innovation of meat-replacement products from the very beginning: the Migros Industrie company ELSA has been producing tofu for over 20 years. When manufacturing meat-replacement products, Migros Industrie proceeds with the same care as with all other production units. For example, for tofu, only soya milk and beans from organic farming are processed.

Milk

The Elsa Group has been a specialist in milk products and milk processing for over 60 years. The Migros Industrie company is passionately committed to quality, innovative achievements and tradition. Up to one million litres of milk arrive at Elsa Group’s site in Estavayer-le-Lac for processing every day. No less than 700 tonnes of processed milk and milk products leave the plant that same day.

Dairy and cheese

The Elsa Group specialises in the refining, conditioning and packaging of cheese. The range includes Gruyère AOP, Switzerland Swiss, Emmentaler AOP, Appenzeller, fondue, raclette and other specialities. For example, various types of cheese mature for months in a cave made of sedimentary rock that nature has formed over thousands of years. This includes over 100,000 wheels of Gruyère AOP cheese.

In addition, the Elsa Group is also a specialist in yoghurt and sauces and offers a wide range. Their expertise and technology enable ELSA to produce firm, mixed, lactose-free, probiotic, light, creamy, drinking or Greek yoghurts. The range of flavours is equally diverse.

Sushi

Sushi Mania is a Migros Industrie success story and demonstrates its ability to identify trends early on, implement them conceptually and scale accordingly. Sushi Mania products are now available in almost all Migros supermarkets in Switzerland.

Sushi Mania SA specialises in Japanese cuisine and Asian gastronomy. Futo-maki, hoso-maki, nigiri, sashimi and gunkan are offered in all varieties. The range of sushi includes a wide variety of colours and flavours to suit every taste. In addition to the Japanese products, Sushi Mania SA produces a whole range of other Asian ready meals.
