Michi Halter and Pius Nussbaumer have been best friends for many years – and both work in the Migros Industrie, more specifically at the Fresh Food & Beverage Group (FFB Group).
Pius Nussbaumer and Michi Halter met in 2011 at Zumbach Bäckerei-Confiserie AG. The two became best friends in the bakery. “After around four years, Michi changed companies, but our friendship remained”.
Their professional paths crossed again this spring. Pius, now head of the Hofmatt in-house bakery in Kriens at FFB-Group, heard about Migros Industry’s employee referral program at a team meeting. He immediately thought of Michi, who had taken a career break, says Pius. “I had been traveling for over a year and decided relatively spontaneously to return to Switzerland. Pius then picked me up from the airport,” adds Michi.
Back at home, Michi needed a new job, and Pius came to his aid. Through Pius, Michi applied for a job at Migros Industrie and became deputy manager of the in-house bakery at the Migros Schweizerhof branch in Lucerne. “I brought my best friend to Migros Industrie. And we used the bonus to go on vacation together to Fuerteventura,” says Pius, to which he and Michi laugh mischievously.
